The smarter E is the innovation hub for empowering new energy solutions and brings together the leading energy exhibitions and conferences Intersolar, ees, Power2Drive and EM-Power. The smarter E takes a comprehensive and cross-sectoral approach to the key topics of the energy transition.
In 2018, The smarter E AWARD emerged from the joining of these topics and shines a spotlight on solutions and concepts that draw on renewable energy, decentralization, and digitalization to intelligently connect all aspects of energy in the electricity, heating and transportation sectors.
The renewable energy award pays tribute to these innovations in two categories. The Smart Renewable Energy category honors outstanding, innovative business models and pioneering solutions in the area of sector coupling, while the Outstanding Projects category recognizes realized projects undertaken in the areas of solar, storage, energy management and clean transportation.
Innovation is driven by role models and pioneers. That is why we are looking for the "Outstanding Projects" in the field of renewable energies. Eligible for submission are projects or products that have been incorporated into a global project, which meet the following requirements: The project is exemplary for global future applications, unique in their expression and realization, and must have been fully completed between February 2017 and February 2019.
The smarter E AWARD in the category "Outstanding Projetcs" will be awarded to realized projects in the following areas:
The future of renewable energies in the power supply depends strongly on digitalization along the whole value-added chain – as this is the only way to ensure that power from decentralized and disparate volatile energy sources is optimally integrated into the grid. Numerous new digital services, products and solutions are currently under development. These will control the decentralized energy market flexibly and safely, and in doing so, optimally coordinate generation and consumption.
The smarter E AWARD in the category "Smart Renewable Energy" will be awarded to innovative and intelligent products and concepts in the following areas:

The finalists of The smarter E AWARD 2019 in the category Smart Renewable Energy have been selected. The finalists and their nominated products and solutins show that the future of renewable energies is heavily dependent on digitalization along the entire value-added chain.
Every year, the official AWARD Ceremony reveals the award winners on a grand stage. The ceremony is attended by high-caliber dignitaries and brings together visitors, exhibitors, representatives and decision-makers from the international renewable energy industry, as well as trade press representatives from both home and abroad.
The presentation of the 2019 award winners will take place as part of The smarter E Europe in Munich on May 15, 2019 at 4:30pm. All exhibition visitors are cordially invited to attend the AWADR Ceremony that is held at The smarter E Forum (Hall B3, Booth B3.570).

Winner The smarter E AWARD 2018 – Outstanding Projects (with Tesvolt GmbH)
"We are honoured to receive the Intersolar Smarter E Award 2018 in the “Outstanding Projects” category. Tesvolt and Unlimited Energy Australia believe that climate-neutral agricultural production is possible, even in the Outback. People want sustainable and organically grown food and 100% off grid solutions can provide affordable farming to generations to come. The Award highlighted the importance of energy independence in remote communities and helped us to promote decentralized energy options in Australia and worldwide."
