Three Gorges New Energy Qingyun Energy Storage Power Station Project by CALB Group

The largest grid-connected energy storage power plant in China has an output of 201 MW and a storage capacity of 402 MWh. It consists of 60 containers and fulfills a range of tasks. In addition to storage, these include frequency regulation, reactive power support, electric power quality management, smoothing out fluctuations in power generation from renewable energies and much more. The power plant can store up to 400,000 kWh of green electricity with a single charge, making this a major step towards a stable supply of 100 percent clean energy.
