CATL was named as finalist of the The smarter E AWARD 2024 in the Category "Energy Storage" for the application EnerX.
The EnerX DC Containerized BESS 5.64 MWh from CATL offers a four-hour battery system with a total energy capacity of over 5.6 MWh in a 20-foot container. With an energy density of 385 kWh/m², this provides extremely compact energy storage. The system is designed for a wide temperature range of -30°C to 55°C and features a modular fire protection concept with an aerosol-based extinguishing system. With a service life of 13,000 cycles and 25 years to 65% SoH, the system is also set to match the expected service life of PV systems. The long service life is reached by using a 530 Ah LFP battery, highlighting once again the high energy density achieved when LFP is used simultaneously.
