Arevon Energy was named as finalist of the The smarter E AWARD 2026 in the category "Outstanding Projects" for the application "Eland Solar-plus-Storage".
The combined PV and storage system, with a solar capacity of 758 MW and a battery capacity of 300 MW / 1,200 MWh, supplies about 7 % of Los Angeles’s electricity demand. The project demonstrates that solar energy, when paired with high-performance storage, can enable a near-continuous 24/7 power supply. Installed across an area of approximately 1,900 hectares are 1.36 million tracking solar panels as well as 172 lithium iron phosphate storage units. By integrating the PV system with battery storage, dispatchable renewable energy is available, capable of delivering rated output for about four hours. Thanks to comprehensive safety measures—including temperature monitoring, air quality measurement, and real-time diagnostics—the project meets high standards for operational safety and reliability.
