IBC SOLAR was named as finalist of the The smarter E AWARD 2026 in the category "Outstanding Projects" for the application "First Agri-PV Farm with Solar Trackers - Solar Park Veringenstadt".
The 15.5-hectare agri-PV system in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, has a capacity of 8.5 MWp and generates around 11 GWh of electricity annually - enough to supply more than 3,100 three-person households. Single-axis solar trackers with bifacial glass-glass modules achieve yields of about 1,300 kWh/kWp per year, outperforming conventional fixed-tilt systems. A particularly innovative feature is the adjustable tilt of the modules from 60 to 90 degrees, allowing over 85 % of the land to remain available for agricultural use. Optimized row spacing, adapted axis heights, and wide sliding gates ensure sufficient space for standard agricultural machinery. The tracking systems can be easily adjusted via a switch to the appropriate position for agricultural operations.
