POWEROAK was named as finalist of the The smarter E AWARD 2026 in the category "Energy Storage" for the application "Pioneer Na".
According to the manufacturer, the Pioneer Na is the first sodium-ion-based portable power station. It is designed for extreme cold and, thanks to the type of cells used, does not require heating elements. Charging is possible down to -15°C and discharging down to -25°C temperatures at which traditional lithium batteries reach their limits and must be heated, derated, or completely deactivated. With a capacity of 900 Wh the device offers a very high charging power of up to 1,900 W when using a combination of AC and solar charging. The discharge power is 1,500 W continuously and 2,250 W for short periods.
