The hybrid renewable energy complex in Bulgaria combines a 238 MWp PV system with a 315 MW / 760 MWh battery energy storage system, forming a powerful energy hub. As the largest storage system in the region, it enables frequency regulation, load shifting, and the delivery of baseload-like renewable energy even after sunset. The integrated 33/400 kV substation is also designed to accommodate future wind energy integration, supporting the seamless incorporation of renewables into the national grid. A robust Power Plant Controller (PPC) system manages bidirectional energy flows in real time, ensuring grid stability and economically viable operation even without subsidies.
