SOLYCO Solar was named as finalist of the The smarter E AWARD 2026 in the category "Photovoltaics" for the application "SOLYCO SOLon35 – Vertical PV System for Green Roofs".
The SOLYCo SOLon35 is a module and mounting system specifically designed for green roofs. The vertical installation of the bifacial modules results in a low-shading configuration that is also suitable for east–west orientations and remains stable even under high wind loads exceeding 120 km/h. As a result, the system does not require roof penetrations and relies only on weighted mounting feet at the edges of the installation area. In terms of cell technology, SOLYCo uses bifacial TOPCon solar cells with a bifaciality of over 80 %.
