Sungrow Power Supply was named as finalist of the The smarter E AWARD 2026 in the category "Energy Storage" for the application "Sungrow Utility-Scale BESS PowerTitan 3.0".
PowerTitan 3.0 is Sungrow’s next-generation utility-scale battery energy storage system, integrating a 1.78 MW PCS and 7.14 MWh of lithium-ion batteries in a 20-ft container. It uses 600+ Ah stacked cells and a fully liquid-cooled SiC PCS to achieve up to 99.3 % conversion efficiency, 92 % round-trip efficiency, and very high energy density, reducing project costs. It adds five-level of SOC balancing with automatic calibration, enabling up to 8 % more discharged energy over the system lifetime. Predictive thermal management and advanced diagnostics lead to an enhanced safety. Grid-forming capability with virtual inertia, black-start, millisecond-level reactive power response, and IEC 61850 GOOSE support ensures fast, stable operation even in weak grids. Sungrow’s fully integrated BMS, PCS, and EMS architecture and AC block design, simplify deployment.
