HagerEnergy was named as winner of the The smarter E AWARD 2026 in the category "E-Mobility" for the application "Bidirectional Wallbox edsn".
The Bidirectional wallbox edsn from HagerEnergy is a V2G-capable DC charger. This compact unit uses OCPP and Modbus to form a key gateway between a home’s power supply, an EV, and the electricity market. It features 11-kilowatt charging and discharging at up to 1,000 volts DC, enables DC charging from solar PV, and is equipped with its own inverter. It also lowers EV costs by unlocking dynamic electricity tariffs and is V2G enabled. Owners can use EV batteries to store solar energy and power their entire home, including in grid backup mode. Our jury praised the wallbox edsn’s simple design, broad compatibility, and support for low-carbon mobility.
