International Power Supply was named as winner of the The smarter E AWARD 2026 in the category "Energy Storage" for the application "EXERON CheckMate".
The EXERON CheckMate from International Power Supply is a bidirectional inverter for utility-scale BESS. Its two variants each have a power density of 3.3 megawatts per cubic meter. Using liquid cooling, it can achieve 99.5% efficiency and no power derating up to 60 degrees Celsius. Its modular design, featuring 18 silicon-carbide power conversion units, ensures continuous operation even if one module fails. The inverter can also provide synthetic inertia with a power response of under 2 microseconds. Our jury praised the CheckMate’s impressive power electronics, life cycle assessment, and grid-forming capabilities.
