Sungrow’s PowerTitan 3.0 is a containerized utility-scale BESS. Each 20-foot unit features a 1.87-megawatt PCS and 7.14 megawatt-hours of lithium-ion batteries. Its integrated AC block design and automated commissioning enable fast deployment, while grid-forming and blackstart features provide critical network services. The BESS uses predictive thermal management to optimize cooling, plus enhanced diagnostics for thermal runaway and lithium plating detection. Our judges praised the PowerTitan's 92% round-trip efficiency, cost-to-value ratio, and grid stability features that support a faster energy transition.
