Thanks to their patented recycling technology, Solar Materials PV can recover 98% of the raw materials in silicon solar panels using a two-stage thermo-mechanic process. The process is similar to reverse production, instead of the traditional shredding and sorting approach used in the recycling industry. Solar Materials is focusing on the economic recovery of silver, silicon and glass as well as other materials such as aluminum, copper and plastic. The technology avoids chemical processes and therefore enables a cost-effective and environmentally friendly recycling method that makes efficient use of resources for the circular economy.
